		<description>Hello,

Magnum is launching a new Edition of the book &quot;New York&quot; published by Gloria that includes a gelatin silver print by Leonard Freedman (estate stamped). There are only 25 of them available worldwide - It will be launched Nov 5 at National Arts Club in NYC.

Some details include:
 - launch of the new Magnum Edition of the giant book, &quot;New York&quot; published by Gloria
 - book features the most iconic images of New York by some of the most respected photographers of our times - including 28 Magnum photographers. Some images are attached.
 - only 25 Editions @ $4000
 - this is a massive book: over 20 x 14 inches, 1500 images, 756 pages, over 200,000 words, over 12 kg in weight
 - the book has thirty three chapters covering every aspect of the New York story, including history, architecture, design, art, fashion, music, film, television, dance, sport and 9/11

The Magnum edition includes a 11x14” gelatin silver print by Leonard Freed, estate stamped - which means that each print is authenticated by the Estate as being made from the original negative and approved in quality to be to the photographer’s standards. The actual stamp is a blind embossed stamp that is made on the bottom right margin of each print. Leonard Freed was of the league of photographers who never editioned their work. He never sold tremendous amounts of prints and never had exclusive gallery representation.

28 Magnum photographers have work featured in the book. Some of the photographers featured in this book include Berenice Abbott, Diane Arbus, Eve Arnold, David Bailey, Henri Cartier- Bresson, Bruce Davidson, Patrick Demarchelier, Elliott Erwitt, Philippe Halsman, Evelyn Hofer, Annie Leibovitz, Steve McCurry, Helmut Newton, Norman Parkinson, Jacob Riis, Jerry Schatzberg, Edward Steichen, Dennis Stock and Weegee among others.

Chapters have been written by the cream of New York literary talent including Ric Burns, Anthony DeCurtis, Don DeLillo, Paul Goldberger, David Halberstam, Pete Hamill, Michael Kantor, David Remnick, James Sanders, Gay Talese, John Updike, EB White, Colson Whitehead and Tom Wolfe.

The book will be launched on 5 Nov with an event at National Arts Club in New York.
